SCAD students had an unparalleled showing at the 49th Illustration West Competition sponsored by the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles (SILA). When the honors were announced in early January 2011, work by SCAD students walked away with unprecedented Gold and Bronze Awards along with over 150 certificates of merit.“This is an extraordinary accomplishment,” says SCAD Savannah illustration professor Mohamed Danawi. “SCAD has an abundance of talent and we are so excited and proud that this talent is being recognized.”
